19th Century Country French Provincial Oak Farmhouse Trestle Table

Extraordinary 19th century country French provincial farmhouse trestle work table hand-crafted from oak. Features a nearly 2 inch thick plank top with breadboard ends. The trestle base has a storage drawer on each end with a round brass pull. The table measures 23.5 inches from the floor to the apron on the long sides. Constructed with wood peg joinery the top is supported by massive 3.5 inch thick square legs that have been chamfered. Beautifully aged and weathered patina full of character and charm.

Provenance; sold by Desbordes Paris, France with Macy's New York listed as the client. Desbordes label affixed inside of drawer. Versatile table that can go from dining table to console or display. Very heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship.
