19th Century Country French Provincial Oak Farmhouse Dining Table

Magnificent late 19th century country French provincial farmhouse trestle dining table or harvest table constructed from solid oak. The large top is crafted from 2.5 inch thick oak timbers supported by a trestle style base. The 5 inch thick legs have hourglass shaped supports on each side and end with massive 7 inch thick feet. The legs are conjoined by a long stretcher with mortise and tenon joinery. The trestle is made with wood peg joinery. The oak has a lovely aged patina with a bleached wood style finish. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with stains and age cracks in the wood that give the table character. The table showcases impressive oak woodgrains throughout with a classic European farmhouse profile. Desirable measurements and scale.
