19th Century Country French Provincial Fruitwood Farmhouse Table


Rustic 19th century country French provincial farmhouse work table or console table. Constructed from fruitwood that appears to be cherry with wood peg joinery. The top is crafted from 1 inch thick planks. The frieze has three large storage drawers on one side with iron pulls. The case is supported by thick, chunky square legs that have been chamfered. The trestle style base has large stretchers conjoining the legs. The table measures 21 inches from the floor to the apron on the sides. Beautifully aged and distressed patina on the wood finish with solid and strong joinery and construction. The fruitwood has lovely grain patterns and a warm finish. Could also serve as a console or display table.

Condition: Good, minor wear consistent with age and use.  Minor losses. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a beautifully distressed patina on the wood as seen in photos. Older repairs, wood splits, and insect damage. Age appropriate wear.
