19th Century Country French Provincial Farmhouse Trestle Table

Attractive 19th century French provincial farmhouse trestle table. Constructed from mixed fruitwood featuring a plank top with breadboard ends. The base is fitted with three storage drawers and supported by chamfered square legs conjoined by an H-shaped stretcher. The sides measure 22 inches from the floor to the apron. Full of character and charm with an aged patina having wood cracks, losses, and insect damage. The antique wood has a warm patina and tone. This table is an excellent example of 19th century and older work tables that were found in provincial kitchens. Classic European farmhouse table with good joinery and wear. Would also work well as a display table.
