19th Century Country French Provincial Chestnut Farmhouse Table

Amazing 19th century country French provincial farmhouse table or harvest table crafted from chestnut. The table features a thick plank top with breadboard ends. The case has large storage drawers on each end and a small storage drawer in the middle. This country table was the work horse of the kitchen in provincial France and served many needs. The case is supported by square legs that subtly taper on the ends. The table measures 21.5 inches high from the floor to the apron. Could also serve as a refectory table, console table, or display. Beautifully crafted with a desirable age and wear on the finish.
