19th Century Country English Oak Farmhouse Trestle Dining Table


Rustic 19th century Victorian period country English farmhouse refectory table or dining table. The long table features a 3 plank oak top measuring 10 feet long and 1 inch thick. The table is supported by a trestle base with baluster turned legs ending with 4 inch wide shoe feet. The legs are conjoined by a long stretcher. The table was crafted on a large scale but has lightness in the design giving it an elegant, svelte profile. The bottom of the table has been stenciled "property of Yale University" and was purported to be from the east coast. The table has a desirable aged and distressed patina full of character and charm. The top showcases the wonderful oak woodgrains and wear.
