The thick French limestone top has a gracefully scalloped, or serpentine form with a thick gilt wood conforming ogee edge. The top is supported by an elegant base crafted from large scrolls of hand-carved beech wood. The wood has an intentionally heavily distressed patina on the warm gold leaf and painted finish providing a contrast to the smooth limestone top.
