Rare mid-century modern oak and rattan sideboard or buffet made in the California coastal organic modern style by McGuire artisans. The sideboard features an oak case with radiant, rich woodgrains. The case has faux bamboo rattan trim and is supported by an Asian inspired pole rattan base with leather rawhide strapping on the exposed joints. The console is fronted by three storage drawers above two sliding doors. The sliding doors open to a storage area with two pull out oak serving trays. The drawers slide smoothly with patinated brass handles. Sturdy and strong with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Handsome profile in exceptional well-preserved condition.
