An imposing 19th Century Country French Provincial farmhouse console table, server, or work table measuring over 6 feet long in solid fruitwood. The case is substantial crafted from thick planks of radiant fruitwood. The elongated plank-built top features softly rounded ends with a modest overhang, and is fitted with three drawers, two full-sized with decorative bail pulls and a smaller central drawer with a original functional key escutcheon with working key. The backside is finished with framed panels. The legs are constructed in a simple tapered design with some Louis XVI influence, thick and sturdy for support. The richly developed rubbed patina features a deep amber color, and historic wear and tool marks add to the authentic character of the piece. The table is constructed in the rustic Country French Provincial style with a European farmhouse aesthetic.
