Gorgeous Japanese four-panel byobu screen featuring a peacock perched in a flowering magnolia tree. Made in the Nihonga school style with ink and color pigments on gilt squares. Signed by artist Soen with a seal. Set in a black lacquered wood frame with a silk brocade border. The dramatic gilt background makes it stunning to view in person. From an estate in Hollywood, CA.
