Pair of Fornasetti Architettura Decorated Eggshell Lacquer Cabinets


Spectacular pair of eggshell lacquer cabinets decorated after Piero Fornasetti (Italian 1913-1988) Architettura design neoclassical buildings referenced from The Complete Universe p.349 plate 9. Features intricately decorated Classic architectural designs covered with mosaic patterns of handcrafted eggshell. This painstaking process uses one of natures most beautiful and primordial forms, the egg. The eggshell is then covered by hand in lacquer. Each cabinet is assembled having two front doors with matching pulls and decorated on three sides and top with eggshell design lacquer finishes. The interior has two storage shelves in black lacquer finish. The cabinets are supported by Mid-Century Modern design short tapered legs. Retailed by C. Mariani San Francisco, CA.
