Japanese Meiji Six Panel Screen Ducks in Autumn Landscape

Remarkable Japanese 19th century Meiji period six panel screen depicting ducks in a very colorful autumn landscape. Ink and color pigments on squares of silver leaf set in an ebonized frame with a whimsical silk brocade border of animal figures. The painting is decorated with pine, bamboo, rocks, and foliage in the Kano school style but other elements are a mixture of schools thus being a Nihonga school style piece overall. From an estate in Beverly Hills, CA.
