Dennis & Leen Italian Settee Cabriole Sofa Champagne Silver
$9,800.00
A refined Dennis & Leen cabriole canapé sofa called the "Italian Settee", executed in the grand French Louis XVI or Neoclassical style. The piece features a distinctive and opulent champagne-silver leaf style metallic finish. The silver-gilt finish highlights the carved frame and complements the upholstery. The carved frame features a continuous top rail in the cabriole style flowing gently into rolled arms with subtle carved Neoclassical details and carved rosette block accents above the softly tapered legs. The front apron of the sofa has a serpentine undulating design with a thick conforming shaped cushion. The bespoke sofa is upholstered in a luminous metallic bronze textile with a subtle silk style striation and sheen. The upholstery is trimmed throughout with a corded piping welt to emphasize the crisp lines and tidy finish. The sofa is raised on eight square tapered legs, offering a light, floating effect to the sofa. The sofa blends Italian Regency, Louis XVI, and Neoclassical styles to suit a variety of spaces. The frame is sturdy and strong with excellent joinery and craftsmanship made by California artisans. The settee is in exceptional condition as seen in photos with a subtle intentional aged patina on the silver finish. From an estate in Beverly Hills, CA.
