A handsome country French farmhouse trestle dining table featuring thick barley twist legs. The table has a massive 2 inch thick radiant mahogany top with two additional extending leaves that mount to the ends. The long plank top with two extending leafs adding an additional 19.75" to each end of the table extends to approximately 122", or more than 10' long. The trestle base is constructed with bold barley twist turned legs conjoined by a low stretcher and accented by square block supports ending with rounded bun feet. The construction features mixed hardwoods of oak and mahogany. The dramatic finish is a deep and warm brown with reddish undertones and fantastic natural wood grain patterns. The table measures 23.5" from the ground to the apron. Crafted in a French Provincial country farmhouse style in the 20th century. The table is sturdy and strong with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The leaves attach with steel arms on each end.
