A beautifully crafted mid-century modern brass and metal wire wall sculpture measuring nearly 4 feet wide depicting an outdoor Parisian café bistro and sidewalk attributed to C. Jeré. The piece features a stylized café storefront with an awning, Thonet style bentwood chairs, bistro tables, and arched windows, along with trees having gestural branches. A patinated brass awning with a scalloped edge runs along the top, sheltering three arched windows, each fitted with a wire frame and gilt ornament. Three large trees rise through the composition, crafted with brass trunks, wire branches, and flattened leaf accents. A long brass rail makes up the sidewalk, crowded with miniature French Bistro chairs, pedestal tables, and umbrellas. The brass is finished with a beautifully aged patina accumulated over time. The whole composition captures the essence of a Parisian Left Bank sidewalk terrace café in Jeré's signature brass and wire artisan construction. Crafted in the mid-late 20th century in brass and metal wire, the piece is well-suited for use as an elegant wall decor piece.
