Magnificent 19th century country French farmhouse dining table crafted from Elm timbers. The trestle style table features a 2.25 inch thick plank top showcasing the amazing elm grain patterns with burls and knots. The thick top is supported by trestle legs having a vasiform shape and ending with shoe feet. The legs are conjoined by an exposed mortise and tenon joinery stretcher. Very solid and sturdy measuring nearly 27 inches from the floor to the table. Made in a French monastery table style. From an estate in Santa Barbara, CA.
