Marvelous set of ten rattan and leather dining chairs crafted in the California coastal organic modern style by McGuire artisans. The bespoke set consists of eight side chairs and two host armchairs with 24 inch high arms. Constructed from pole rattan featuring a distinctive X-form back with laced rawhide strapping on the exposed joints. The generous seats have a fitted loose seat cushion in a whimsical striped design with sage and off-white stripes and red pin stripes. The rattan has a gorgeous honey-toned patina with lighter toned rawhide leather laces to accent the frames. The chairs are solid and sturdy with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Custom ordered chairs with a pearl M on the backs and makers plaques on bottoms. Sold as a set of 10. From an estate in San Francisco, CA. Armchairs measure 23 inches wide.
