Amazing Italian iron and Carrara marble top specimen console table crafted in the neoclassical Pompeiian taste. The table features an Italian marble top measuring over 4 feet long inlaid with multi-colored shades. The design has a circular motif in the middle. The thick marble slab is supported by an iron base with an applied verdigris finish. The base is crafted from thick round iron rods with a decorative x-form stretcher with a circle in the middle. The design is reminscent of Italian style furniture by Mario Papperzini. The console would be suited for garden, orangerie, or a grand entry. The marble has a desirable aged patina on the finish and a classical form with highly skilled European craftsmanship. The table is sturdy and strong with solid joinery.
