Monumental 19th century country French provincial farmhouse trestle dining table or refectory table hand-crafted from walnut. The massive table has a 1.25 inch thick plank top with breadboard ends. All four sides of the table have a storage drawer with an iron pull. Constructed with wood peg joinery. The large trestle base has six square legs nearly 3 inches thick that have been chamfered. The legs are conjoined by long stretchers. The table has excellent joinery and craftsmanship that showcases the rich walnut woodgrain patterns and aged patina. Full of character and charm with a rare six leg trestle and massive proportions.
