A substantial 19th century rustic country French oak farmhouse table of classical provincial style featuring a wide, rectangular plank top. The table shows original 19th century construction with peg joinery and authentically softened edges and marks from age and use. The oak finish has a richly developed, timeworn patina in warm cocoa brown tones with some oxidation and darkening from use. The plank top is supported by stout chamfered legs joined by a robust stretcher base. Two side drawers fitted with iron hardware and add some storage space on each end. The top measures 2.75" thick with a leg clearance of 23" from the floor to the apron. The thick plank top showcases the rich oak woodgrains with a classic farmhouse profile. Wear includes surface markings, scratches, and darkening from use. Some mild age splits at plank edges and on stretcher. Some light scattered worming/pitting to at least one leg.
