The drums have a cylindrical waisted or tapered form and are typically from Eastern Burma or Myanmar made by the tribes of the Karen people. Used in some Asian cultures to summon rain. The drums have handles on the sides for hanging. The top and sides are decorated with concentric circles with the top being centered by a starburst motif in the middle. The bottoms of the drum sides have repeating patterns of geometric shapes, elephants, and fish on the sides. The flat top has stacks of little frogs, decorating the border.
