Country French Provincial Oak Farmhouse Trestle Dining Table


Handsome late 19th century country French provincial farmhouse harvest table or dining table. Crafted from oak with wood peg joinery. This table was a workhorse in the French kitchen with a pull-out cutting board on one side and a large 31 inch long by 20 inch wide storage drawer on the opposite side. The top is made from thick 1 inch planks of oak with breadboard ends. Ample legroom measuring nearly 24 inches from the floor to the apron. The trestle style base supports the top with thick turned legs ending with bun feet. The legs are conjoined by curved stretchers on each end. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a classic European farmhouse profile.
