Grand assembled set of twelve French painted dining chairs crafted in the neoclassical Louis XVI taste. The set consists of twelve side chairs crafted from beech having an intentionally distressed painted finish to mimic age. The near matched sets consists of six chairs measuring 1 inch larger than the other six and having very minor design differences. Six chairs measure 17.5 wide 21.5 deep and 37 inches high. Six chairs measure 18.5 wide 21.5 deep and 27 inches high. All the chairs are upholstered with a vintage dark red velvet upholstery fabric. The subtle differences are one set has a slightly lighter finish and the seats have round corners instead of square carved rosettes. The frames have a classic oval cameo or balloon back with a bowed front seat. The seats are supported by tapered, fluted legs. Sold as a set of twelve.
