Whimsical painted set of six French dining chairs crafted in the Louis XVI taste. The set consists of four side chairs and two host armchairs measuring 23 inches wide and deep. The carved beechwood frames have an oval cameo or balloon back inset with cane. The frames have a stylish carrot orange lacquer finish with parcel gilt accents and an aged, distressed patina on the finish that lends to its charm. One armchair has a small cane loss as seen in photos. The chairs are upholstered with a vintage complimentary fabric that is faded and aged. Sold as a set of six.
