Set of Eighteen Neoclassical English Regency Style Dining Chairs


Exceptional and rare set of eighteen English mahogany dining chairs featuring x form neoclassical style splats. The late 19th century chairs have a curved tablet style back inspired by Greco-Roman klismos chairs. The set consists of 16 side chairs and 2 host armchairs measuring 22.5 inches wide and deep. The chairs have delicate satinwood inlay and are supported by elegant tapered, reeded legs in the front ending with a spade foot. Beautifully crafted in the Regency taste with a lovely aged patina and solid joinery. Sold as a set of 18 chairs.

Condition: Good, wear consistent with age and use. Beautifully crafted with solid joinery. Age appropriate wear and fading with minor chips, scuffs, and small losses on finish as expected. Finish is faded more on some chairs from exposure as seen in photos. Vintage fabric shows some stains.
