A handsome Ralph Lauren Home “Antibes” king-sized bed, executed with a natural organic woven seagrass covered frame set above a painted and carved wood frame. The rare bed is comprised of a tall arched headboard with shelter wings and a graceful humped crest. The lower serpentine footboard, and shaped side wing panels in warm woven seagrass. The bed rests on an intentionally distressed whitewash painted carved wood frame with floral scrollwork, lattice panels, shell-form details, and cabriole-style legs. The bed is crafted with romantic French Provençal and Côte d’Azur influences, combining the stylistically Organic and Coastal woven seagrass frame with the French Provincial-style ornately carved bed frame, giving the piece an elegant Mediterranean character well-suited to a beach house or grand country estate. The inside of the bed measures 82" deep by 77" wide, perfectly suited for a king mattress. The footboard measures 34" tall, keeping the bed open while maintaining the decorative profile. The frame has an intentionally distressed patina on the painted finish as seen in photos. The bed is sturdy with solid joinery and construction.
