Late Qing, early republic period Chinese export six-panel coromandel screen featuring a pavillion with figures engaged in leisurely activities on a dramatic gilt gold leaf background. The panels are lacquered and incised conjoined with patinated brass hardware. Supported by square legs ending with brass clad feet. Beautifully crafted with a desirable aged patina on the lacquered finish and brass. The reverse side features a stark landscape scene at night with birds and flowers.
