Japanese Showa Period Four-Panel Screen of Peonies


Gorgeous Japanese Showa period four-panel byobu screen of white peonies. Elegantly painted on squares of gold leaf with a beautiful vintage patina. The screen has minor losses on the front panels, but shows beautifully laid flat or mounted on a wall. The back has large losses and damage. Signed and sealed on the bottom right side and set in an ebonized frame with a silk brocade border.

Condition: Fair, minor wear consistent with age and use. Shows beautifully with paper loss at one joint and minor losses as seen in photos. Back side has a large losses to paper cover.
