Japanese Four-Panel Screen of Birds in Prunus


Midcentury Japanese four panel byobu screen depicting blue birds in a blossoming cherry or prunus tree. Painted on squares of gold leaf and set in a wooden gilt frame with patinated brass accents. Bordered with a brocade silk in a light rose gold color. Blue represents good luck in Japanese culture.

Condition: Good, minor wear consistent with age and use. Age appropriate wear with minor stains and scratches. Reverse side has two small holes.
