Stunning Chinese Qing dynasty four-panel screen featuring red lacquered wooden panels decorated with gilt. The screen depicts flora and fauna including monkeys and rabbits. The border has Greek key design windows with Asian vases, flowers, and some with animals. The panels were once folding but now have no hardware and each is lined with leather on the edge. Supported by small brass wrapped feet. The back of the panels are decorated with scrolling vine patterns over the same red lacquer and gilt. Beautifully distressed from an estate in Malibu, CA. Each panel is 21.5 inches wide.

Condition: Distressed, minor wear consistent with age and use. Beautifully distressed and worn finish with losses, chips, and age appropriate wear. Panels are not connected and there is no original hardware.
