A refined and graceful set of eight French painted dining chairs featuring oval cameo cane backs made in the grand Louis XVI taste. The carved beech chairs frames are finished in a soft blond cerused tone with an intentionally aged patina. The legs are elegantly fluted and tapered ending with small toupie feet, and are accented by carved corner rosette blocks. Each chair is fitted with a generously padded seat finished in a whimsical raspberry-toned vegan leather and trimmed with French brass nailhead accents. The caned, open medallion backs give the Louis XVI chairs a more clean and airy balance. The chairs are sturdy and strong with solid joinery and construction in exceptional condition.
