Monumental Country French Provincial Oak Farmhouse Trestle Dining Table

20th century monumental country French provincial farmhouse dining table, refectory table, or harvest table measuring over 12.5 feet long. Hand-crafted from massive oak timbers the table features a 2.5 inch thick top supported by a rare triple pedestal trestle base. The gracefully curved legs have an hourglass form conjoined by a long stretcher. The stretcher is constructed with an exposed mortise and tenon joinery and the legs end with large 5.5 inch thick shoe feet. Substantial table that is very heavy and solid with a lovely aged, faded patina on the wood finish. The table was made to resemble an 18th century monastery table with a grand scale and presence.
