Distinctive and rare bent pole rattan lounge chair and matching ottoman made in the California coastal organic modern style by McGuire. The pair feature gracefully curved bent rattan frames with upswept arms and arched legs. The thick rattan is lashed together with leather rawhide laces. The ottoman has a matching frame with arched legs measuring 26 inches wide, 22 inches deep, and 16 inches high. The frames have fitted seat cushions in a faux suede fabric that show age with fading and light stains that should be recovered. Strong and sturdy with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The rattan and leather have a desirable aged patina with a distressed finish. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
